VASECRIB TERMS OF SERVICE
1. INTRODUCTION AND ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
Welcome to VaseCrib. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the VaseCrib website, mobile-optimised platform, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"), operated by VaseCrib ("VaseCrib," "we," "us," or "our"). VaseCrib connects individuals seeking student accommodation ("Seekers") with landlords, property owners, and accommodation agents ("Listers") in university towns across Nigeria, beginning with Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State.

By creating an account, browsing Listings, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

2. DEFINITIONS
"Platform" means the VaseCrib website, application, and any associated services.

"Seeker" means a registered user seeking to identify and pay for student accommodation through the Platform.

"Lister" means a registered user, whether a landlord, property owner, or accommodation agent, authorised to create and manage Listings on the Platform.

"Listing" means any property advertisement created by a Lister, including its description, images, video, price, location, and stated amenities. "Rent Payment" means the payment made by a Seeker through the Platform for accommodation described in a Listing.

"Escrow" means the temporary holding of a Rent Payment by our designated payment partner, pending release in accordance with the Escrow and Refund Policy.

"Verification" has the meaning given in Clause 7.

"Inspection Service" means the optional service described in Clause 7.3.

3. ELIGIBILITY
3.1 You must be at least 18 years of age to independently create an account and transact on the Platform.

3.2 Where a Seeker is below 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must create or supervise the account. By permitting a minor's use of the Platform, that parent or guardian accepts these Terms on the minor's behalf and assumes responsibility for the minor's activity on the Platform.

3.3 You must provide accurate and current information during registration, including your date of birth, and must promptly update this information if it changes.

4. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION
4.1 Two categories of account exist on the Platform: Seeker accounts and Lister accounts. Any person seeking to create or manage Listings must register as a Lister. A person who only wishes to browse and pay for accommodation does not need a Lister account.

4.2 At registration, we collect your full name, phone number,email address, date of birth, and gender. Listers are additionally required to provide a photograph. Further detail on how this information is used and protected is set out in our Privacy Policy.

4.3 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Your password is encrypted and is not accessible to VaseCrib or any of its staff.

4.4 You may not create more than one account, and you may not create an account on behalf of another person without that person's authorisation.

5. NATURE OF THE PLATFORM
5.1 VaseCrib is a marketplace that enables Listers to advertise accommodation and enables Seekers to discover, evaluate, and pay for that accommodation.

5.2 VaseCrib does not own, lease, manage, or physically control any property listed on the Platform. Each Listing reflects representations made solely by the Lister who created it.

5.3 Rent Payments made through the Platform are processed and held in Escrow by a licensed third-party payment service provider. VaseCrib does not itself take custody of Seeker funds
outside of that licensed infrastructure.

5.4 Except where VaseCrib has expressly provided an Inspection Service in respect of a specific Listing, VaseCrib does not independently confirm the physical condition, safety, or legal status of any property. Seekers are strongly encouraged to conduct their own reasonable diligence, including requesting
additional photographs, a video call with the Lister, or an independent inspection, before making payment.

6. LISTINGS AND LISTER OBLIGATIONS
6.1 A Lister must provide, for every Listing: an accurate description of the property, current photographs and video of the property, its location, and the amenities available.

6.2 A Lister warrants that they have lawful authority to let the property, whether as the owner or as an authorised agent or representative of the owner, and that the property is not, to the
best of their knowledge, subject to unresolved litigation, dispute, or a demolition or contravention notice from a relevant planning authority.

6.3 A Lister must state one complete, all-inclusive price for a Listing. Demanding any additional undisclosed fee from a Seeker, whether described as an "agreement fee," "commission,"
or otherwise, once a Seeker has been connected through the Platform, is a material breach of these Terms and of the Lister Onboarding Agreement.

6.4 Listings undergo administrative review before publication. VaseCrib reserves the right to reject, remove, or request amendment of any Listing that appears incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, or in breach of these Terms.

6.5 Once a Rent Payment is successfully confirmed on a Listing, that Listing is automatically marked unavailable and cannot be paid for by another Seeker until the transaction is completed, cancelled, or refunded. Multiple Seekers may continue to view a Listing or request an Inspection Service prior
to a confirmed payment.

7. VERIFICATION AND INSPECTION
7.1 Where a Listing or the Platform describes a property as "Verified," this means the Listing has been reviewed by our administrative team for completeness and internal consistency between the description, images, video, and stated price. This is not, on its own, a representation that VaseCrib has physically inspected the property.

7.2 VaseCrib may, at its discretion, physically inspect a property independently of any request by a Seeker. Where this has occurred, it will be indicated on the Listing.

7.3 Where a Seeker is unable to personally inspect a property, they may request that VaseCrib conduct an inspection on their behalf, for a fee disclosed at the time of the request, or free of
charge where VaseCrib elects to offer this without charge. An Inspection Service conducted under this Clause confirms only that the property's physical condition, at the time of inspection, is materially consistent with the Listing's description, images, and video. It is not a structural survey, a legal title search, or a guarantee against defects, damage, or changes to the property arising after the date of inspection.

8. PAYMENTS, ESCROW, CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
8.1 Rent Payments are processed through our designated payment partner and held in Escrow pending confirmation by the Seeker or expiry of the Verification Window, as further described in our Escrow and Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference.

8.2 A Seeker may cancel a pending transaction and request a refund within the Verification Window. Refunds are assessed against the grounds and process set out in the Escrow and Refund Policy. Not every cancellation request will qualify for a refund.

8.3 Any Listing flagged by users as non-existent, materially misrepresented, already occupied, or otherwise fraudulent is handled in accordance with our Review Moderation and Dispute Framework.

9. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION
9.1 VaseCrib may suspend or terminate any account, on stated grounds, where a user has provided false information, posted a fraudulent or materially misleading Listing, solicited undisclosed fees, repeatedly received substantiated complaints, or otherwise breached these Terms.

9.2 A user whose account is suspended or terminated will be notified of the stated grounds and may request a review of that decision by contacting us as set out in Clause 13.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
10.1 To the maximum extent permitted under Nigerian law, VaseCrib's liability arising from any transaction facilitated through the Platform is limited to the value of the Rent Payment held in Escrow in respect of that transaction.

10.2 VaseCrib is not liable for disputes, losses, or damages arising from the physical condition of a property, except to the extent those matters were the subject of an Inspection Service conducted by VaseCrib under Clause 7.3, and then only to the extent of what that Inspection Service expressly confirmed.

10.3 VaseCrib is not liable for delays, failures, or errors caused by our payment partner's systems, banking networks, or any event outside our reasonable control.

11. INDEMNIFICATION
Each user agrees to indemnify and hold VaseCrib, its founders, and its staff harmless from claims, losses, or damages arising from that user's breach of these Terms, provision of false information, or fraudulent conduct.

12. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from these Terms or from use of the Platform is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ogun State.

13. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to registered users through the Platform or by email. Continued use of the Platform after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
